Here at Brontë Bride, we love colour. And we love telling a story – whether it be a love story, editorial, or adventure – through colour. We would seriously love to see more brides start to incorporate pops of their favourite colours into their wedding day! In fact, that’s why we started our True to Hue Series, to design, collaborate, educate, and inspire, using colour!
Our second workshop session, Peach, was a full day of fun, led by Sarah Beau and Bretton Grassie. They instructed on posing couples, getting ready sessions, flash, and navigating tough lighting situations, and also guided our attendees in two sessions all about editing and taking a look behind their business!
This session was an awesome experience with 12 attendees, including 2 couples, 2 getting ready sessions, 3 different spaces, a ceremony set up, styled tablescape, hanging floral installations, and more!. Check out more behind the scenes, and some highlights from our attendees below!

KIND WORDS
“This workshop was the perfect package wrapped into one day. It had an awesome mix of education, beautifully curated shoots, and tips and tricks. There’s no time like the present to educate yourself. Having an affordable workshop that is in your own backyard, that’s as beautifully styled, with as much valuable information as the True to Hue Workshop has, is unheard of. This is a game-changer for those who want to take a deep dive into this amazing industry.”
-Becky Morgan
“There are lots of amazing workshops out there but non that offer you local experience and amazing styling all in one place! You’ll get a chance to add stunning shots to your portfolio that will help you attract your DREAM clients as well as learn the ins and outs of the business side of being a photographer from YYC professionals. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!”
– Nora Cruickshank
“This was my first ever photography workshop and it blew my expectations out of the water! The curated details, stellar education and ability to collaborate and interact with other creatives made it such a wonderful experience. I walked away feeling so excited for how I could apply all that I learned into my own business, plus not to mention a wicked wedding day portfolio! It made me excited and confident to be able to grow my photography business in the direction I have been dreaming of.”

A small segment of the workshop included a mini tutorial on styling invitation suites, with tips on how to style your flatlays to look dynamic and balanced! Attendees got time afterwards to practice on their own.

One of our favourite things about receiving galleries back from these workshops, is being able to see all the different shots captured by attendees. It’s interesting to see different editing, angles, and styles of the same set up!
