This cool urban wedding celebrates the Vancouver skyline from the rooftop ceremony to begin the day, all the way through to the grand finale of fireworks at the Festival of Lights. The couple’s venue not only showcased a unique display of downtown Vancouver as their ceremony backdrop, but it also was where they first met 12 years earlier! We love when couples include special sentimental touches like this one in their day!

With an urban industrial aesthetic and a warm, effortless feel, this wedding is proof that your wedding doesn’t have to include a large guest count for it to be unique and memorable. Scroll down to follow Cathy & Blair’s journey through downtown Vancouver, as they say “I do” and celebrate with their family and friends.

From the Photographer:

I love how many sentimental and unique elements Cathy + Blair chose to include in their day! From the ceremony being held at the bar they met at, an intimate dinner at a restaurant across the street, and finishing the day by taking advantage of Vancouver’s festival of lights and heading out on the ocean to view the fireworks from the water. Abigail Eveline Photography
Walking down the aisle was the most memorable part of the day for both of us. All of a sudden, I felt a strong sense of calm knowing that our closest family and friends were there to celebrate and support us. from the bride

Any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?

“Hire a day-of-coordinator if you’re able to. It’s worth the money and your family and friends will be thankful that they can sit back and enjoy the wedding rather than helping you do all the little things on the day of.” -Cathy, the bride from the bride
