City elopements are becoming more popular, and we love seeing couples and vendors put their own signature on this urban styled trend! That’s right, you don’t need to run far away to elope!

With the down-to-earth couple in mind, Chemistry Events and Daria Lane Photography envisioned this downtown elopement inspiration featuring a muted colour palette, dried florals, and a locally sourced neon sign from Stef Forward Events. One of our favourite features? Their fun and playful matching set of confetti canons from Belle & Beau Confetti Co!

We wanted to keep this shoot as “realistic” to our current global situation as possible. As we navigate our next wedding season, we realize that couples are having to make tough decisions and in some cases, alter their wedding plans drastically. We wanted to create a beautiful vision for couples who may have considered trading their 150+ person guest list for a local elopement!

The large floral installation was assembled in Edmonton and travelled with us all the way down Highway 2 to Calgary. The florals seemed to bring everything together as soon as they were paired beside the Garret’s stunning brick wall.
