Figs, Whimsical Florals, and Honey Accents in This Secluded Backyard Wedding Inspiration
Say hello to this ethereal inspiration filled with whimsical florals created by a talented team of Vancouver vendors. They wanted to show couples that you don’t have to go far to get creative and have the wedding of your dreams!
Combining their talents, they converted a backyard garage into a studio filled with an artful mix of texture, pattern, and colour. Blossom & Vine Floral Co. delights us with whimsical floral arrangements in soft pastel hues while Bespoke Decor dressed the sweetheart table with rattan chargers, figs, crystal glasses and gold accented tableware. We’re loving each romantic detail from this fine art editorial captured by Ana Douglas Photography.
From the Photographer:
Our warm-toned inspired shoot took place in a secluded backyard where the converted garage-studio hosted the ceremony and reception, and the backyard, with vines trailing down the trellis and an oak tree providing shade for the couple, was the setting for portraits at golden hour. Inspired by the wheat and rust tones of the warm sun rays, we incorporated this palette into every detail of this intimate backyard elopement – from the florals to the dress, and the decor to the stationery. From the Photographer:
The bride donned the elegant Echo gown from Kathryn Bass Bridal, featuring a plunging V-neckline, draped silk organza, 3D printed flowers and delicate pearl beading. For accessories, the bride brought her own jewels for a personalized touch. HMUA Elka gave the bride a romantic side-swept updo paired with soft, natural makeup. Capping off the bride’s look was a delicate lace fingertip veil from Atelier Elise. The groom wore a bespoke custom black suit and tie from Blair Shapera, accessorizing with a classic chrome watch from Michael Kors. Ana Douglas Photography
From the Photographer:
With the florals we wanted to convey this seasonal colour palette while still maintaining an ethereal and elegant feel. Blossom & Vine Floral Co. came across the most perfect, soft blue, locally grown delphinium and we built our inspiration from there, pairing it with dried limelight hydrangea and chrysanthemums in beautiful tones of honey and caramel, with dried white fennel pods and vines of trailing fragrant hops.
With the help of Bespoke Decor, the sweetheart table featured a natural colour palette offset with bolder pops of colour. To top it all off, freshly sliced figs propped up the custom place cards and menus by Papelu Studio.
