We’re in love with Canadian bridal brands Laudae, Aesling & Truvelle, who are based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Their 2022 wedding gowns from their newest collections feature chic silhouettes, modern fabric selections, and dramatic sleeves! We interviewed Oremony about their new 2022 bridal Collections from Laudae, Aesling & Truvelle, and decided to share our very favourites from each collection!

Aesling

sleek + simple crepe wedding dresses for the modern minimalist; with a feel that is contemporary, elevated, refined, and chic

Aesling 2022 was infusing drama into an otherwise minimal brand. This opened the door for myriads of ideas from the design team and is a direction we’re excited to further explore in future collections. Furthering the striking turn in this season’s collection, we have introduced a gown with a detachable cape, intricate gigot sleeves, and memorable bodice backs. Aesling has also developed a column skirt, which is perfect for the bride who wants nothing less than modern and unfussy. Since the very beginning, Aesling dresses have been inspired by form and architecture. This year, it’s reflected in the names of the gowns, and all are named after beautiful places of worship. Aesling is still a relatively new brand, so we really put emphasis on giving the Aesling bride more diversity in our offerings. Sleeves have always been a big request, which we made happen this season — Sistine’s billowing puff sleeve was inspired by a gorgeous crinkle organza that we sourced, new this year.

Westminster. Crepe wedding dress with billowing, layered sleeves and closed v neckline at front + back. Button detailing is featured on the sleeve cuff and down the zipper.

Laudae

LAUDAE’S 2022 Collection still embodies the spirited, bold bride. In true LAUDAE fashion, all dresses are fitted mermaid styles with bold overlays that highlight a bride’s best assets. This year’s gowns — Marrakesh, Monaco, Santos, Tropez, Victoria, and Vienna — are six subtle homages to their namesakes that are full of personality. A cowl back (Monaco), asymmetrical single-strap bodice (Santos), and bandeau bodice (Marrakesh V1)  were just three new features we are excited to introduce this season. We’ve also introduced new fabrics, and we are particularly loving our luxe, crepe-backed satin and delicate beaded lace; they really help take LAUDAE to a new level of sophistication.

Truvelle

gowns for women who want effortless, unconventional, and fresh; with a feel that is feminine, soft, refined, and classic

In Truvelle’s 2022 Collection, we wanted to stay true to the elements that have made Truvelle one of Vancouver’s most-loved bridal brands, but still, do something new. These newest designs are still whimsical, effortless, and with an air of romance, but we’ve incorporated a few new things. Celine features our first-ever slip dress and comes with an optional open-front overskirt that can be belted around the waist. We’re also really excited to delve further into sleeves, and two dresses (Lillie and Scarlett) offer mid-length flutter sleeves and a fitted long sleeve, respectively. “With Truvelle, it’s always our goal to create dresses which don’t overwhelm the bride,” says Gaby. “We want our brides to feel natural, effortless, refined, comfortable, and romantic. That’s what this collection is about: highlighting the natural beauty and charm of our brides.”
