Megan and David’s romantic Okanagan wedding is a magical example of dreams coming together despite a myriad of obstacles. In the midst of a global pandemic and wildfire season in British Columbia, this couple never lost sight of the true purpose and heart of their wedding plans: getting married and starting that new chapter of their life!

Lethbridge wedding professional, Malorie Reiter Photo captured the very best of wine country, showcasing beautiful vineyards and lush greenery in the heart of the Okanagan. You’ll find wedding details in an exquisite colour palette of dusty rose and toffee tones, including lovely bridesmaids dresses from Park & Fifth Co. and beautiful florals from Fleurich Creations that enhanced the idyllic vineyard setting at Inn Penticton.

From the Couple

The pandemic really helped reinforce to us the idea that it is about the marriage and not the wedding. That was our mantra through the many twists and turns we navigated while planning a wedding during a pandemic. It kept us centred and focused on what was our highest priority throughout this whole process.

We had gone through so much to get to our wedding day, and to drive out to BC to encounter thick wildfire smoke seemed like peanuts to us considering everything else. Right after our ceremony, we were taking pictures in the vineyard. I will never forget feeling the sunshine beating on my face for the first time in a week. It was as if God had reached down and lifted every last bit of smoke hovering over us. We were driving back to the reception and witnessed the crispest view of the Okanagan Lake for the first time since arriving. You couldn’t help but feel the presence of someone looking over us. Chasing a beautiful sunset on Munson Mountain was the cherry on top.
David + Megan

If you love Megan’s chic bridal style as much as we do, you’ll find her stunning crepe V-neck Mikaella gown at Novelle Bridal, a bridal boutique in Edmonton Alberta. This bridal look is accessorized with dreamy pearl earrings from Amélie George Bridal and the Elenna Veil from Davie & Chiyo (one of our favourite Vancouver brands!).

Mix and match bridesmaid inspiration from Park & Fifth Co., these dusty rose gowns are a vision with Fleurich Creations‘ brimming bouquets in similar hues.

From the Photographer:

My favourite part of David + Megan’s wedding day was when we hiked up to a lookout point for their sunset photos. On the morning of their wedding day it was smokey and cloudy, but as soon as we arrived at the lookout the sun came out from behind the clouds and we were blessed with a breathtaking sunset. It was so beautiful!Malorie Reiter Photo
