welcome to the

Show us a stunning editorial with unique winter blooms, a beautiful bride, and basically a castle for a venue… and we’re probably going to love it. But show us all that in an editorial that also features women of colour in the local wedding industry showcasing their perspective on female empowerment and strength…? Yeah, we’re probably going to be obsessed with it!

So it shouldn’t be a surprise that we’re featuring this stunning winter bridal editorial, created by some seriously talented local vendors. Conceptualized by Osase of Shake Up That Makeup, this editorial was brought to life through the combined vision of Pam Kriangkum, and Anisia & Brianne Hurst of Brianne Gabrielle Cakes to celebrate the idea that the female character can be as equally strong and empowering as she is soft and delicate. Now who doesn’t love that…!

From the Photographer:

Being women of colour ourselves, this was the perfect opportunity to explore something that we felt was missing in the local scene. We wanted to represent beauty, strength, and grace in new ways, to amplify the voices, faces, and work of women of colour in a new setting, and to bring more diversity and representation to wedding editorials.Pam Kriangkum
Surrounded by the mountains, the location was chosen with purpose – the contrast of the vast, unforgiving lines of the Rockies, the serenity and enchantment of a fresh snowfall, and the light fabric of a dress and cape that danced upon the winter wind. We played with the idea that being feminine is a source of empowerment and that strength does not have to be solely defined by harsh lines and rigidity but can be expressed through, resilience, vulnerability, authenticity, being grounded and self-confident.Pam Kriangkum
