While it wasn’t originally what this couple had in mind for their big day, Amy and Steve’s elegant winter microwedding ended up being a lovely combination of a downtown celebration mixed with an intimate winter affair. The Garret is an industrial style venue located in downtown Calgary which holds up to 30 seated guests, great for any couple searching for a downtown yyc venue for their micro wedding.
This winter wedding features a romantic ceremony design, downtown portraits, and a sparkler send off! Calgary Wedding Photographer Deanna Rachel Photography captures all the lovely details of this small, intimate wedding, and it’s many special moments.
From the Photographer:
Forest green, white, and toffee make this winter microwedding a stunning example of seasonal inspiration. The incorporation of candles add an element of warmth for even the coldest winter days.
We adore Amy’s classic bridal look from Lovenote Bridal. With subtle lace details, this gown exemplifies simple yet elegant bridal inspiration. Not to mention the way this gown gracefully covers the ground below, like a fresh winter snowfall.
One of Amy and Steve’s favourite memories from the day was walking up Stephen Ave at dusk. A stream of sparklers and smiles from family and friends illuminated the path as they arrived outside the venue. This surprise not only made for stunning images, but a lasting memory to end the night. We love a great sparkler exit and think this wedding party nailed it!
