When it comes to choosing the perfect setting for a special occasion like a wedding, there is nothing quite like saying “I do” surrounded by the love of family and friends in your home city. Newlywed couple Alex and Dylan did just that, when they chose to host their intimate and sentimental fall wedding in Calgary. To make their venue feel cozy, they used a rich colour palette of terracotta, rust, sage and forest green to warm up Charbar‘s modern industrial space. Capturing every precious moment was Calgary wedding photographer, Deanna Rachel.

From the Photographer:

I love how all the little details made for such a beautiful day. Charbar was the perfect backdrop for this fall wedding, not only aesthetically but sentimentally (they spend their summers biking and often stop here for lunch – so sweet!). My favourite part of their day was witnessing their first look. They could not stop hugging one another and it was just the sweetest thing to witness. Deanna Rachel

The couple chose hand-potted succulents from Growing Together as their guest favours. The plants also acted as place cards, with a succulent and printed name tag placed at each setting. Alex and Dylan mentioned that they still receive regular updates from their guests on how the succulents are doing.
