Don’t get us wrong – we like our cake as much as the next person… but why limit yourself when there are so many other delicious treats out there?!
We wanted to share some different dessert ideas that you could have at your bridal shower (or engagement party, wedding, or any other event) instead of cake. We curated a spread of 8 different kinds of mouth-watering desserts that you can purchase from vendors right here in Calgary! These bite-size masterpieces are much more low-maintenance and allow you to offer a selection to your guests! We honestly couldn’t choose our favourite, but we’d love to know what yours is!

These scrumptious citrus donuts from Pretty Sweet Co were an absolute hit at the shower! We recommend ordering the mini size to make the donuts extra cute!

Ollia’s macarons are the sweetest little things; they have so many flavours to choose from! Offering a selection at your shower, of not only different desserts but different flavours, is always a good idea!

Pretty Sweet came through with these custom sugar cookies too, and we just loved them! You can order them with the “Miss to Mrs” phrase like we did, sub in your initials, or add your own custom phrase!

If you’re a pie lover, you’ve got to try these handmade personal-sized pies from Pie Junkie! Their coconut cream pie is so yummy, and they also have other flavours like key lime, classic apple, and lemon blueberry!

Mango & Cheesecake: why wouldn’t you put those two amazing flavours together!? Lemonberry Pastries makes a delicious assortment of mini desserts that will leave you coming back for more!

Lemonberry Pastries also made these Rhubard Cream Puffs, a very unique take on a classic dessert! We love the presentation with that little pop of red rhubarb colour!

Yvonne’s Delightful Cakes designs beautiful wedding cakes, but also offers a great selection of desserts like these tropical summer parfait cups!

Did you know Ollia does meringues too!? These melt-in-your-mouth mini desserts are so darn good (probably because they’re 95% sugar)! Plus they provide another easy way to incorporate your event colours!
