Welcome to a wedding aesthetic that blends timeless “Old Money” elegance —an estate venue, sparkling chandeliers, and black-tie attire—with bold, modern touches like a checkerboard aisle, hot pink pumps, and a trendy second bridal look. We’re calling it “Old Money meets New Money” and this contemporary and chic affair at The Norland Historic Estate in Lethbridge, Alberta, showcases the mix of styles effortlessly.

The statement wow-piece of the event is the black and white checkerboard aisle, used for the ceremony and then again in the evening as the dance floor, surrounded by chandeliers. Designed by Rebekah Brontë Creative Design Studio, the ceremony features a runway-style layout, framed with bold groupings of grounded florals by Petal and Stem and stylish black seating from Lethbridge Event Rentals. Photography By Taiya captures the essence of the day, from the getting ready portraits in the morning to the bride’s transformation at night—changing into a short white dress with a big bow and hot pink platform heels for the reception.
