This romantic yet comfortably casual backyard wedding inspiration beautifully captures the essence of a cottage core aesthetic. Surrounded by the timeless charm of The Norland Historic Estate located in Lethbridge, the soft colour palette of pale yellow, gray, and misty green perfectly complements the intimate and casual backyard wedding vibe. Nora Hanako‘s photography exquisitely showcases all the dreamy elements of the shoot. With its blend of casual comfort and “The Notebook”-worthy romance, this wedding inspiration offers a perfect blueprint for couples seeking a casual and intimate wedding day.

An Intimate Ceremony With A Natural Feel
Cottage Core Details & Effortlessly Natural Wedding Portraits
Backyard Wedding Reception Inspiration
The tablescape was designed with a cottage core aesthetic in mind, embracing a romantic, eclectic mix of elements that feel both warm and inviting. The subtley-patterned tablecloth set the foundation, allowing the mix n’ match napkins to bring in a sense of playfulness while still maintaining a cohesive look.

I wanted the table to feel abundant and welcoming, so we incorporated family-style dining elements like grapes, bread, and cheese, along with wine on the table, creating a sense of community and shared experience. The mist coloured taper candles and organic floral bud vases, featuring soft yellow blooms and earthy grasses, added a touch of elegance and whimsy without overpowering the natural beauty of the setting. The addition of wood tones in the butter plate was intentional, bringing warmth and grounding the design with an earthy, natural feel. Wedding Designer, Rebekah Brontë
