Moody Tones & Minimalist Bridal Style in This Contemporary Summer Wedding at The Coutts Centre
Accessory designer and bride Allyssa made a minimalist bridal style seem so effortless for her wedding day. Combining a Stella McCartney gown, statement earrings and a handmade bridal scrunchie, Allyssa achieved the ultimate understated bridal beauty. The Coutt’s Centre’s expansive gardens served as the perfect backdrop for this chic summer wedding with touches of terracotta, olive, peach, and soft whites found in the florals, and Madison Jamie Photography captured it all beautifully to create a stunning wedding day overflowing with minimalist yet moody wedding inspiration.
From the Photographer:
After meeting Allyssa and Tommy last year at their engagement session I knew from the start that they were an incredibly stylish couple so I had a feeling their wedding would reflect that same vibe. Sure enough, I was completely blown away with how effortlessly stunning and well put-together their day was. It was both perfectly understated and incredibly chic at the same time, I had the most wonderful time capturing it all. To give you a sense of how easy-going the bride Allyssa was… she showed up to the venue with a stunning bridal scrunchie that she had just simply sewed that morning – if that doesn’t scream effortless then I don’t know what does! A Traditional Morning
Getting Ready
“What inspired your minimalist bridal style?”
I wanted a look that was understated but uniquely me. I was so fortunate to find this Stella McCartney dress. It was kind of an impulse quarantine purchase because I didn’t even know if we were going to be able to have the wedding at the time. Once I got the dress, I bought two different veils but ended up going with an oversized scrunchie and big statement earrings instead. As an accessories designer, this just felt more like me. Outdoor Ceremony of Trees
This is one of the coolest alternate unity ceremonies we’ve seen! The couple potted and watered a plant to symbolize their new life together beginning!

“How did he propose?”
The proposal was so crazy I’m still not sure how he pulled it off. I suggested going to New York before Christmas to surprise my sister so we went to New York on Stand-by flights and then surprised my sister which was so fun. And then during our trip we were walking around my favourite park in Brooklyn when all of a sudden Tommy got down on one knee and started proposing. Turns out, Tommy had been planning this trip for months with my sister and she was just playing along! From the Bride
