From the disco balls decorating the mirrored tablescape to the playful tassels hanging from the bride’s bouquet, this shoot was the ultimate party!
We were originally inspired by the concept of a modern “wedding celebration”, as more millennial brides are recognizing the appeal of a cocktail reception with a fun almost party-like atmosphere. We wanted to take that party concept further by infusing bold colour, modern-day decor, and special moments of celebration and joy.
We chose to integrate bold colours into many of the elements, contrasting the venue’s monochromatic colouring with pops of bright pinks, peaches, corals, and reds. Variations of pink can be found in the cotton candy cocktails and bridesmaid’s dresses, oranges and corals were selected for the bride’s bouquet and the mirrored glaze anthurium cake, and a bold red was displayed on the bride’s lips. Florals, dresses, and desserts… these elements are all great places to present pops of colour to brighten up your day-of decor!
A Modern Bride & Groom: Glamour & Grace
We can’t get enough of this brilliantly-tassled bouquet made by Always Sunny. It includes a little of everything we love: coral anthurium, blush ranunculus, and bright pink tassels that add an eye-catching element of colour and movement. These tassels from Dixie and Twine are such a unique substitute for ribbon.
First Look & The Groom
Does your groom want the classic black suit, but you’d love to add some flair? (or vice-versa?) Cuff links, ties, and pocket squares are the perfect places to add some colour while still maintaining that clean and classic look!
This groom’s classic monochromatic suit from Ed William’s Menswear was accented with a pair of blush pink cufflinks! We love how those unique cufflinks match with the pink palette of the shoot itself while not overwhelming the groom’s monochromatic attire.
The Bridal Party: Portraits & Confetti
