The leaves are settling and fall has arrived (or if you live in Calgary like we do – the snow has settled). Either way, we’re not ready to give up on fall just yet! In fact, we have a beautiful fall wedding inspiration shoot to share with you today!
Alexandra Victoria Rose (the florist, dress designer, stylist, baker extraordinaire) partnered with Megan from Common Weddings to put together the perfect toast to fall, complete with warm autumnal tones, and the coziest of tablescapes.
Old-World Romance
From the florist and gown designer:
“I wanted the bride and her dress to look very ethereal so I made a soft, flowy romantic gown that I knew would catch in the wind and trail behind her – I loved the contrast of that against the sharp lines/grooves of the stone pillars and staircase around her. I wanted the florals to also be very soft, romantic and gardenesque. I tried to carry that look into the table scape as well – very garden themed, vintage, romantic and eclectic.”

“The photographer, Megan, and I were both very excited about the figs! She’d always wanted to photograph figs and I had always wanted to use them on a cake but they can be so difficult to procure, so it was a happy day when I came across them! And the gorgeous fall coloured plums and pears worked so perfectly with the florals and table decor.”

This cake makes us think of pumpkin spice and EVERYTHING nice (it also makes us want to cut ourselves a big slice and cozy up by the fire with some warm tea and a good book)!
