The Fairmont Palliser‘s Crystal Ballroom sets the stage for this romantic and whimsical ballet wedding inspiration, beautifully captured by Justine Milton. The space exudes historic charm with its ornate details and grand ambiance. Its timeless elegance provides a perfect backdrop for a wedding that marries classic sophistication with romantic whimsy. This shoot showcases the collaborative styling efforts of Melissa Dawn Event Designs and Rebekah Brontë Designs, featuring uniquely ballet-inspired details like the Rescue Flats wedding favours, draped fabric elements on the ceremony arch, and a tiered macaron dessert display set atop a playful tulle-covered pillar.

The bride wore a midi-length ball gown with a velvet bodice and a whimsical tulle skirt that moved effortlessly with each pose. Her hair and makeup, by the talented team at Bare Beauty, was kept polished and graceful – with a sleek bun and natural blush-toned makeup. Pearl jewelry by Joanna Bisley Designs – including a dainty bow choker and matching drop earrings – added a timeless and feminine touch to this bridal ensemble.

The stationery, designed by Kenzie May Co, brings a touch of regency romance to this whimsical editorial, with delicate calligraphy, soft pastel tones, and intricate silhouettes – perfectly complementing this vintage-meets-feminine aesthetic.

Macarons by Megan added a whimsical touch to the dessert display with her hand-painted confections. Presented atop a tulle-covered pillar, these beautiful macarons combined artistry and flavour, featuring blush and blue tones with small pearl accents.

Melissa Dawn Event Designs is a Calgary-based wedding planner known for her elegant and timeless aesthetic. With a calm, intentional approach and a love for romantic details, Melissa helps her clients bring visions to life with grace and style.

Rescue Flats offers stylish, foldable ballet flats, ensuring guests can dance the night away in comfort. These thoughtful favours blend practicality with elegance, aligning perfectly with this ballet-inspired theme.
