We love everything about this wintery wedding shoot; it features a talented vendor team and is filled with inspiration for the perfect cabin winter elopement! The venue is a lovely cabin air bnb in Bragg Creek, named the
. It was close to the Elbow River which gave the couple opportunity to explore the forest and exchange vows along the river. Mama Bear Cabin
The couple brought such a fun and loving feel to the shoot!
is a professional model who loves allocating time to creative shoots, and we love when she brings along her husband Kevin as well! Aren’t they just the cutest?!
Ashia and Kevin wrote their own vows for this heartwarming scene. The sunlight poured down on them as they exchanged their vows to one another. We love how Malorie Reiter so authentically captured the natural light and heart-felt exchange.
This stunning Abigail of Gardenia dress from Novia Mia was one for the books! We love the pops of colour found in the intricate embroidery and the classic vintage vibe coming from the silhouette.
Texture was incorporated throughout the tablescape, from the layered textiles on the table, to the hanging chiffon on the tree behind. Rentals from Orange Trunk added both colour and texture to the table with stunning vintage glassware and a lovely dinnerware set. We love the use of bold hues: evergreen, rust, scarlet, and ochre make the perfect complements to this winter wedding inspiration.
Handlettering by Bexley Design Co adorned the place cards: one on each place setting, as well as hanging from the tree as you can see above. Wouldn’t this make such a great seating chart? With handlettered place cards hanging from a tree, tied with delicate chiffon ribbon and intertwined with pine branches! (#weddinggoals!)
The bride’s hair was gently pulled back by Taylor Bartel into a flirty yet sophisticated updo, adorned with a beautiful collection of pearl pins from Joanna Bisley Designs . We love a bold lip! This dark lip on the bride added a touch of boldness to this wintry shoot, and tied in some of the other colours in the palette as well. This perfect pout and the rest of Ashia’s makeup was beautifully done by Chelsey Auer Beauty and Brides ; Her nails were done by Hannah Pavan .
The outfits of both the bride and groom incorporated so much colour and brought a unique aspect to the shoot. We hope this inspires more brides to consider non-traditional wedding gowns, and more grooms to wear rich-coloured suits, because this shoot shows how stunning those combinations can be!
