Traditional Asian wedding inspiration infused with modern decor elements, this styled shoot features a traditional tea ceremony and modern tablescape in the beautiful Wallace Venue, located in Vancouver, BC. We love how this vendor team came together to create this meaningful and story-driven wedding inspiration to celebrate Asian heritage and culture. Scroll down to see how Aleia Weddings incorporated the classic hues of red and charcoal to connect the contrasting styles of traditional and modern decor, and all the other special details beautifully captured by Estee Chin Photography.

From the Planner:

This styled shoot is special because its concept was developed during the height of asian hate crimes brought on by the pandemic. Estee Chin Photography and I wanted to work with an all-asian team and dedicate a styled shoot to celebrate our rich heritage and culture. Aleia Weddings
My favourite element of the shoot was incorporating the centuries-long cultures and traditions into our modern world. So many components of a traditional East Asian wedding symbolize specific things such a prosperity, happiness, and longevity. It was so fun to be able to infuse many of these small details into everything from the traditional tea ceremony, to the wedding date, invitations, menu, and decorations. From Vancouver Wedding Planner, Aleia Weddings
This styled shoot was held at The Wallace Venue – a beautiful modern-industrial space boasting lots of natural light and open space. The venue really worked well with the style of modern-meets-traditional, as we were incorporating a lot of traditional elements of a East Asian wedding.
