This styled shoot is special because its concept was developed during the height of asian hate crimes brought on by the pandemic. Estee Chin Photography and I wanted to work with an all-asian team and dedicate a styled shoot to celebrate our rich heritage and culture. Aleia Weddings
My favourite element of the shoot was incorporating the centuries-long cultures and traditions into our modern world. So many components of a traditional East Asian wedding symbolize specific things such a prosperity, happiness, and longevity. It was so fun to be able to infuse many of these small details into everything from the traditional tea ceremony, to the wedding date, invitations, menu, and decorations. This styled shoot was held at The Wallace Venue – a beautiful modern-industrial space boasting lots of natural light and open space.
