welcome to the

This fine art wedding at Rouge Restaurant showcases a plethora of stunning “something blue” inspiration, with romantic styling and design from Jacqueline Rae, and classically timeless details we know you’ll adore (including an absolutely gorgeous ceremony arch dripping in florals!).

Carling & Carson’s gardenesque wedding at one of Calgary‘s fine dining locales served as the perfect canvas for local florists Meadow & Vine and Frankie’s Fricken Flowers to adorn in ethereal florals in the most delicate blue and ivory tones. Each romantic detail was captured flawlessly by local wedding professional, Kaity Body Photography, a fine art wedding photographer located in Calgary, Alberta!

From the Photographer:

I loved that Carling & Carson’s ‘Something Blue’ was part of their colour palette! Blues and whites look so romantic and fresh, I loved how they incorporated it, especially throughout their floral arrangements, and that arch! The attention to detail, styling, and personal touches they included in their special day were so elegant and timeless. I loved everything about their historic garden wedding at the Rouge Restaurant. The flower arch, the beautiful string instruments playing in the background, calligraphy and french inspired details, as well as old photographs of the years growing up… It really was the most perfect day, full of happy tears and so much love.

The Ceremony

Advice from the Couple:

Our advice? Get a planner, get a planner, get a planner. I was originally going to do everything myself because I love weddings and I’ve been planning ours for years. We decided that I could use the help when we moved our timeline up and it was the best decision we made in the whole wedding planning process. Even if I had all the time in the world and there wasn’t a pandemic I couldn’t have ever made it as beautiful or stress free as our planner did. Carling & Carson

What better way to memorialize your handwritten words than having your very own personalized vow booklets? We’re in love with these romantic vow books by Debbie Wong Designs. Not only do these look gorgeous in styled flat lays, they are the picture perfect accessory for exchanging your vows during your ceremony.

From the Photographer:

The Rouge gardens offered the most perfect setting for me as a natural light photographer. Location is so important for your wedding day, and this day really showcases that. Kaity Body Photography

The Reception

Standout reception stationery is one of our favourite ways to elevate your wedding day! And Plush Invitations definitely accomplished that in this wedding design! They utilized a timeless script to create the stunning stationery and signage seen throughout the evening, including the menus, place cards, and seating chart.
